Tia Gemmell is an accomplished, professional photographer who captures images portraying action, emotion and people at their best in the Sacramento region. From beloved and talented art educator in Lodi Unified School District to prominent entrepreneur in the Capital Region for her artful eye and lens, Tia is the photographer of choice for non-profit, government, corporate and small business, education and community leaders on the move at charitable events, business and political happenings, and wherever the action is.

Tia is founder and owner of Riverview Media Photography and has built a successful business and community service model. Tia’s event photos are published in popular publications including the Sacramento Business Journal as columnist of "After Hours with Tia", N Magazine as columnist of "Tia's Natomas" and as contributing photographer for Comstock's Magazine RSVP Column along with other publications throughout California.

Tia is one who leads by example, passion and innovation. She generously supports non-profits by photographing their events on a pro bono basis, then raising awareness and promoting their causes through multiple social media. Tia acknowledges and advances women in business, women in leadership roles, and women who work hard to overcome barriers to achieve and improve their lives. She is an active member of Alliance of Women in Media, California Women Lead and National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).

Giving back to her community is part of Tia’s generous spirit and compassion for others. She uplifts and encourages many and selects a community project for a cause close to heart. In recent years she has collected clothing for WEAVE, gathered books for the Sacramento Public Library. Her current projects are sponsoring a drive for women’s clothing for WEAVE and collecting goods for Habitat for Humanity.

Tia cherishes her community and revels in its diversity; she considers every interaction an honor, a privilege and an opportunity to give back. Each click of the camera lens, you can be sure, comes with a smile and assurance you are looking your best.
